Choosing the right builder for your project is a key decision. When you hire Richard Padgham Fine Home Construction, you get a team that is committed to delivering a smooth and efficient construction project, from start to finish. We are responsible for every phase of the design and construction of your new home.

Choose Your Builder First

Do you need help selecting a lot site or choosing an architect? Based on our three decades of experience in the building industry we recommend that clients choose a builder first. An experienced builder can review site plans and make suggestions that will help you avoid costly design decisions down the road.

We love to collaborate with our clients and our creative construction abilities are key to crafting a home that is beautiful and livable.

Following are the steps we will go through:

1. Initial Discovery Meeting
We listen to your ideas and out team will work closely with you to understand the vision you have for your home. We also take time to review and discuss plan and property options and discuss general pricing guidelines.

Bring your Houzz scrapbook:
Houzz (or Pinterest) are very useful online tools to gather a scrapbook of styles, vendors and materials that you like. Bring your ideas to the table and we’ll help guide you on choosing a style of home that fits your aesthetic and vision. Once this has been established we would be happy to recommend an architect.

2. Architectural plan development
Bring your plan to the table or we can recommend an architect. And, as stated above–we recommend choosing your builder FIRST. Our team will find creative construction solutions to building the unique architectural details you desire.

We also offer in-house drafting services for both site and residents. We specialize in creating spaces that are beautiful yet functional and we deliver unique designs that are both visually stunning and practical.

3. Pricing Phase
Together we will complete a detailed specification questionnaire. We utilize this information and all documents provided to establish an accurate cost basis for all aspects of construction: from initial plan cost thru delivery of your new home.

We will present a thorough bid and construction timeline. We include everything up front in the bid including specifications and budgets.

Every cent spent on your house will be accounted for, including overhead and profit. There will be no hidden fees, no kickbacks, no substitution of inferior materials, no shoddy workmanship, and no shortcuts!

4. Construction Begins
Begin selecting your materials from our approved list of vendors, or select any reputable vendor you desire.

Throughout the construction of your home you will receive consistent updates on the progress and onsite meetings to review and approve milestones in the process

5. Completion
100% completion of the punch list and delivery of the keys to your new home!
